Smartcards

The HSM provides Console commands to support the use of Smartcards:

·         Format a Smartcard.

·         Create an Authorizing Officer Smartcard.

·         Verify the contents of a Smartcard.

·         Change a Smartcard PIN.

·         Read Smartcard Details (unidentifiable card).

·         Save HSM settings to a Smartcard (see section HSM Settings, Storage and Retrieval).

·         Restore HSM settings from a Smartcard (see section HSM Settings, Storage and Retrieval).

·         Eject a Smartcard.

If a Smartcard function returns an error message code in the form:
